The Castle community has two major message boards and a lot of smaller ones, and together they form an excellent resource for in character roleplay, and out of character discussion, argument and learning. Please remember that these boards are communities rather than content-delivery sites. It pays to sit back and watch a while, and to remember that whatever the place is, you can use your power of input to change it.

The Castle Message Board is a mixed in character and out of character board maintained and moderated by Shayanna (she will delete posts and ban users who make a nuisance of themselves). It's where most of the Castle community's message board traffic goes, and it's a great place to ask questions OoC, run 'message board roleplays', or just post single-session individual roleplay posts if you don't feel like doing it in the Castle itself.

In the IC sense, the Castle Message Board is generally considered to be an actual physical object located somewhere outside the Castle itself, kind of like a community board outside a library. In this conception of it, you can leave 'letters' written by your character to be found by other characters. It can be a little confusing though because in character action posts, static letter posts and OoC discussions all take place on the same board.

Regularly checking and contributing to the Castle Message Board is highly recommended as a way of getting involved in the community.

The Castle OoC Message Board is moderated by Rita, and exists specifically for OoC messages. Because it's more specific, it doesn't attract the same level of traffic as the main board, but is till worth a look.

Please note that a lot of the boards linked below belong to very specific communities, many of which require permission before you can join. They're still good for a look at what roleplay and message boarding is about, though (the CdG especially has some very good in character posts).
